Goulet Q&A Episode 106, Open Forum

In this week's Q&A, Brian talks about whether or not you can eyedropper convert a Pilot Falcon, how to smooth out a stub nib, and the Brian Goulet system of personal organization. It's a beefy one!

Visconti Opera Master Blue Swirls Limited Edition

We're incredibly excited to offer a new Visconti Opera Master called Blue Swirls! This beautiful pen joins the limited edition Crimson Tide that we released exclusively last month, as well as a number of other Opera Master pens from years past.

The Blue Swirls use the same pen body and nib as the other Opera Masters. There are 250 of these pens available worldwide, and each pen is numbered on the rhodium filler knob on the back of the pen. It features Visconti's proprietary double reservoir power filler system, which is a vacuum-filler that has an extra reservoir that allows you to write without needing to unscrew the filler knob. It has the delightfully smooth and wet 23kt Palladium Dreamtouch nib, the same as you will find on other Visconti flagship pens like the Homo Sapiens, Divina, and Opera Masters. Since it uses the same nib, it will write exactly the same as the nibs on other Opera Master pens. We're offering the Blue Swirls in EF, F, M, and 1.3 stub nibs, though there is a broad nib that's available by special order.

Goulet Q&A Episode 105, Open Forum

This week Brian talks about why Noodler's is named Noodler's, his 10 favorite pens (of the moment!), and crossing things off his bucket list! Enjoy :)

Visconti Art of Writing Set: Quick Look

Visconti has been coming out with all kinds of new pens these last few months, and this one is surely one to raise some eyebrows. The Visconti Art of Writing Set is a collection of 5 different nib/tips on two different pens, with a great variety of nib choices for whatever style of writing you plan to do. With a much smaller pen body than most of their other offerings, this is going to be a very desirable set for those of you out there with smaller hands. It's also a relatively affordable introduction to the Italian luxury brand.

Edison Nouveau Premiere Mystical Myrrh Winter 2016 SE Fountain Pen

Mystical Myrrh is the 9th seasonal Edison Nouveau Premiere we've done. We've historically done a lot of single-color or color-with-a-swirl, this one is very complex and it stands out among other Premieres, as well as pretty much any other pens you'll see. With pearlescent swirls of silver, gold, and copper, it's one of the most unique materials we've ever seen.

Goulet Q&A Episode 104, Open Forum

Brian's back this week after taking time off for Thanksgiving with a good ol' fashioned Q&A. He's talking about Lamy 2000 nibs, why acid-free paper matters, the next luxury pen brand we might carry, and what a Goulet-made pen might look like!

Discussing the Lamy 2000: Quality Control

For years now we've been receiving emails and order comments requesting that we test out customers' Lamy 2000 nibs for "quality control" issues they've read about online. As we want to have awesome service, we test them on request, and seldom find anything actually wrong with the pens. After testing hundreds of pens, we thought it was time to share our experience and hopefully clear up some of the misconception we feel is out there about the way they perform.
